+1 to that. Earlier the requirement of aircraft to be available in India were due to the checks on the same type that had to be given for conversion. But they have been done away with & can be a part of recency abroad, so wonder why this clause wasn't modified.

These at dgca dont realise that for a plane to be registered in india it has to be bought by somebody. One who can afford one will atleast buy one big enough to carry about 6 people, these are not trainer a/c but proper people movers, and are pretty expensive to train on.

well guess we all have to pray that some politicians son trains on the duchess for them to change things.
