Friend, if you have a single engine rating then do your IR check on that or if you want a multi IR then you will have to give the technical exam and ask for syllabus from FID DGCA for getting another multi endorsement, which i think is fam, day and night and IR check.
I wonder when these DGCA BABU's will learn more about other countries aviation and will generalise multi ratings and single engine ratings as FAA has in thier system.
Now adays DTL is filled with ELP applicants...Its looks like a fish market between 4-5Pm...
