Choosing the right path

Hey, this is my first ever post on a forum really and I have been looking around the web for the best 'path' to becoming a commercial pilot, but I cannot seem to find ones that are fairly recent or relevant to me. So sorry if this has been asked before.
(Sorry this got much longer than I thought it would).

Anywho back to my dilemma. I currently live in Western Australia and am very interested in making a career out of flying aeroplanes. I am very confused and overwhelmed by the number of ways to obtain your CPL. I have looked at courses from the Royal Aero Club and was very satisfied with them until I came across a thread on PPRuNe that showed me that they are in extreme financial trouble, which prompted me to look at other schools and I found this ECU course: School of Engineering - BACHELOR OF AVIATION.

Now what I would like to ask is if some one could please explain to me what the difference is between these to me, or offer more schools and methods to becoming a commercial pilot. Sorry if I come across as being needy but I take this very seriously and I would like to get it right
