Many of us remember that years ago, NATS were the ATS provider at Bournemouth Airport, and there were extra radar consols in Bournemouth Approach specifically to provide student ATCOs with live training. With the loss of the ATS contract, this facility was no longer possible and (much to my regret) there is thus no 'need' to link the college with an airfield.
