Hi all - this is my first post on this forum - and I had hoped that I would be rejoycing in recieving my PPL but .....
It was all I had dreamed of for the past year. All the training, exams, frustrations - I had finally passed them all. Gathered all the forms and papers together and sent them off to the CAA. 2 weeks passed and I recieved my reciept for the fee. Ok we're getting somewhere. Another week passed - getting abit concerned so decided to call the CAA. Response was " Yes sir your licence has been issued and was posted over a week ago" So where is it now? Called Royal Mail and it has not been signed for. More phone calls and they have declared it 'lost in the post' and have started searching for it!!!
I can't believe it. Of all the letters to be lost - that one bit of paper that I've been so excited about getting has to go amiss. of course all the junk mail is still flooding through my letter box as if theres no tomorrow - why can't that get lost.
Does anyone have any experience of Royal Mail finding a 'lost' package. Will be on to RM first thing in the morning
Sorry about the whinge but I wanted to share my plight with people that would understand my frustration rather than the casual 'oh thats a shame dear' from the girlfriend.
