finally I have found perfect kneeboard for helicopters - it's Hendricks 9-G. Low profile, small, fits even Robinson R44 R22 helis.
It has inspired me so far to make custom 20mil poly plates with:
-startup / down procedures checklists
-flight plan
-emergency procedures
-warning procedures
