Question DGCA CPL processing.

Hey Guys,

I am going to be walking into the DGCA office in a weeks time to submit my papers for the CPL license.

Have any of you put your papers in for processing within the past few months?

What exactly is going on in the DGCA? I heard they wont even let people walk upto the licensing office. Do I really need to leave the papers at the reception?

Are they being unnecessarily harsh these days and viewing each and everyone with complete suspicion?

Besides, How long are they taking to process the papers and issue new licenses? I know a few people who still have their papers stuck there for over 6 months now. Thats bad and I dont want to be in that situation.

Heard they wont be issuing any licenses at all for the next 2 months. (due to all the checks being done for all the current cpl holders and flying clubs in India.) Is that happening for real?

Most importantly, how about the paperwork? I have completed my flying from two different schools and have two different sets of documents from each one of them. Would that be a cause for worry?

Pretty scared about getting my papers stuck needlessly.

Would appreciate some advise and please do share your recent experiences with the DGCA. I am sure there are plenty like me who need it.

Thanks.
