The requirement of 5 hrs of Instrument Time can be done on simulator as well. This is a fact which is not so common amongst many. But I did the same when I got my recency done in Nov/Dec last year.
Since 1 hr Sim can be done in Rs. 1,000 whereas actual flying costs around 7,000. It saves time as well as money.
