Since one of the A330 was scrapped, they have no spare A330 aircraft to fill in on routes except one on Wednesday
Does EI have a spare A320? I was passing through Gatwick around noon a couple of weeks ago and met an Irish couple in a restaurant who claimed to have arrived at the airport at 8.30am for an LGW-DUB flight at 10.45 that was delayed. The departure board indicated "Gate Opens 16.20" but that subsequently changed to 14.20. This was still showing as my flight was called so don't know what departure time actually was. On our taxi out I noticed an EI A320 parked out at the remote stands with no activity around it.
