Services from NOC had between 4-6 seats more booked per flight. Do you think this means it's more successful or travellers from LDY and MAN are just more cost saving savvy.
In my opinion it's a simple case that the people who will use LDY-MAN probably have experience of using BE before, and are aware that the £12 charge to pick your seat is completely unnecessary. They know they can essentially pick their seats on the day of the flight. This is reflected in the above.
People flying with BE from NOC may never have used them before, and therefore think this is either essential or beneficial......they'll learn!
