I am not afraid of tailwheels but I have a healthy respect for them. I was fortunate enough to teach several ab initio students on taildraggers, an experience I enjoyed very much, and they for sure knew the pedals on the floor were more than just brake holders
It's a dying art though as the rapacious insurance industry has pretty much removed them from rental fleets, thus insuring the next generation of pilots are unlikely to ever see one.
