Office bound.

Paper infatuated and and overwhelming respect and fear of exposure to bright lights and anyone further up the greasy pole than themselves.

Inertia and corruption. An entire government department without a licenced, current pilot on full time staff? What a field day for cartoonists! India's DGCA - the corrupt penguins.

A legal framework from 1937 - how about sending an airliner picture from that year to every polly and paper in India.

An exam system with no syllabus - letter writing campaign surely plus the law.

Writ's, legal challenges, personal naming in law suits result in sheer, abject terror. The rice bowl may be snatched from them.

As do social networking sites devoted to each department and their capricious, timewasting, corrupt nonsense copied in to every newspaper and politician. Get off your arses - it's not as if 4 or 5 thousand of you have anything better to do?

Rob

PS I trust it hasn't escaped the notice of the jingoistic, foreigners out, India can sort itself out just fine brigade that the post above ended with: "Anyway, why couldn't America (FAA) come and sort it out on our behalf." Sort it out yourselfs guys and regain some honour for Indian aviation.
