The simple fact of the matter is that this was a major accident in which everyone survived, and a very unusual accident at that; hence, discussing and dissecting it is not a bad thing.
In fact, it is a good thing.
All of the "Well, I would have done
this!" and "Well, he should have done
that!" statements are recorded here for posterity for everyone to read and consider.
Obviously, Sully did the right things at the right time - everyone survived.
Discussions of what he *might* have done differently are just that, discussions. But they have value, as these discussions make people think about the situation.
