Tomas,
All 146's are Cat 2 capable.
Not all are maintained to this standard, and M.E.L items may make
an otherwise Cat2 aircraft only Cat 1 capable on the day.
The 146 was the first 4 engined jet not to require a flight engineer.
It has no autopilot input into the rudder, hence is not Cat 3.
But the Avro RJ has, and is.
(It does a lovely rudder input to kick off the drift at about 20 feet,
could hardly believe it when demonstrated in the BAe sim in woodford
all those years ago.)
