Have you any RECENT engineering expereince? Important because if you haven't, it's 5 years on the tools before you could even apply for a licence. You would have to do all the relevent Modular exams for the licence sought. For the B1 mechanical licence, its 17 exams (13 multi choice and 4 essays), B 2 Avionics isn't many less.. Very in depth syllabus for them too and the vote for joes are not easy. The ONC/D does not count for any expemtions..
KLM are also making up to 50 people redundant soon as well. bristows have no mechanics jobs either...
