We have been told this week that due to our "great and glorious" flight efficiency scheme, we have saved £1.3 million. We could have been getting to destinations early, we could have been flying at MCR speeds, we could have been using APU power as opposed to GPU power on a freezing cold day, we could have done 101 other things that would have cost the company more than we actually did.

Morale in FlyBE is at a critically low point. Those who are voting yes to this deal, are typically self-interested, hyprocrits - eg - those who don't give a rats tail about what the conditions are like for everyone else.

Above all else though, we do try and arrive on time for each and every flight. It's not easy, bearing in mind many factors - including the technical reliability of the Dash, we make up lost time. We will remain professional about our jobs, despite that fact that most of us are physically exhausted from working incredibly long (but they're OK, because the system says it's legal!!) duties.

Our madate isn't to get passengers from A to B on time... but to get them from A to B safely.

And is it easy to do that when you've slept for 2 hours, you're worried about the next bill arriving on your doorstep, you can't afford petrol, you're physically exhausted after a long week of work and you're living on utterly sh!t food on the aircraft.
