I spent a good bit of time chatting to the reps. One was very much trying to sell me the current offer. He seemed fed up with the whole thing and just wanted it to be over. The other was of the opinion that it was my vote to use as I wished. I feel that recommendation was a condition of the company.
The long and short of it was that very little more will come from negotiation and I guess we all know what comes next. Now is the time to show some backbone and not be pushed around.
