Besides, the hostile style of management at EVA makes it only worse than what's going on at CX. Management may not fully honor your contract. Overtime is paid based on a 4-month average of your flight time. Morale is at bottom low. The company is reporting profits but the pilots are still not getting their full amount of salary and no backpay is expected even when the original salary is reinstated. In summary, EVA may be an ok place to work for when no one else is hiring, especially if you need money to provide food for your family. But once there comes more options on the market, you'd probably regreat for your choice of employment. By then, you will find yourself bonded by some $50K OR 60 USD for a right seat rating. Between EVA and CAL, I would go with CAL since the money is slightly better and the management is more friendly.
