As defence cuts bite, military hardware is a tempting proposition - and might be more affordable than you think.

... and the company that deals with selling all of it is Witham Specialist Vehicles.

The company has been in business for more than 30 years and since 2002 has been the sole sales and marketing agent for all British MoD vehicles. Its task is to sell as efficiently and profitably as possible so as to ensure the best possible return to the public purse.

Of course, it isn’t just the relatively ordinary that Witham deals with. Taking up the final third of the hangar are no fewer than 30 Gazelle helicopters. Some are missing engines, even canopies, while others are more or less fully functional. “This is the kind of thing we’d ideally like to sell as one lot to a big buyer, but you just never know.
