I have been following the situation with interest from the IAEA. It appears the amount of radiation released so far is about the same as what a normal airliner receives over a year in normal operation.
The amount of radiation the workers are allowed to be exposed to in normal operations is about half what an average flight crew member will receive in a year flying long haul. In an emergency they will received slightly more than what flight crew will receive.
But surprisingly Banana farmers will receive the most radiation of anyone.
