I also understand that 98% of the AWOS pilots resigned their contracts to stay in the land of the long white cloud (obviously better than returning to Oz!).... This didnt leave too much of a pool of locals needed hence the small numbers interviewed....
The company line is apparently "the running of a pretty tight ship" is to be adheared to. Take that anyway you want.
