ABX - I have found the Lake Eyre Yacht Club (seriously!) site to have the most current and reliable information (see
Lake Eyre Yacht Club). If you are serious about flying out there, I recommend that you get in touch with Trevor Wright from Wright Air. He runs a fleet of sight seeing aircaft from William Creek and will give you information about some local 'procedures'. He is a really nice bloke and very helpful, but please only bug him if you are actually going.
