I spend a lot of time around this area (Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Georgia, Yerevan etc). Whilst 3G signal is generally available, the fact that the browser is blocked makes the Kindle far less attractive than was originally protrayed.

No offence to the Kindle, it's a very useful tool, however already having an iPad and now finding that the 3G signal probably won't suport basic web browsing may mean returning it to the store

Just so I can get an idea, what countries have you tried it in where you could use the Kindles internet browser succesfully? I'm wondering if most of Europe is available? Equally wondering already certain countries block web browsing on Kindles, whether those that curently provide the service may also pull this handy feature, blocking all but Amazon bookshop?
