I have the feeling that past EI managment really missed the boat on routes and aircraft. The move to all airbus was in some ways a good one, however the need for a medium haul aircraft was over looked when looking at the transatlantic routes. There might be problems filling an A330 on all routes but the 757 has proved very popular for Continental, Delta and US Airways. If EI had the benefit of hindsight when open skies became a reality and obtained a fleet of 75's we might be looking at a very different picture!

Can anyone remember when EI left Newark and what the loads were like on that route. I know there was a difference of a few years, but Continental seem to fill their 75's on that route. Can you fill an A330? Or is there any fom of 321 that do the TA routing from DUB to east coast usa?
