This is
gliding. Apply yourself and you'll be having this sort of fun in a year or so. Don't expect to be able to compete with these people (for a while) but you can expect to have as much fun as them. And once you get into cross-country and "interesting" soaring you'll often find that there is another "club" inside the main club who will help you progress. They'll do anything to add to their numbers because as the group gets bigger, so the fun gets larger.
