No experience with Aeros but have heard nothing but good reviews about them, no matter which base.

However my main point is that I learnt to fly at Cardiff and was based there for nearly a decade before moving up north. Lovely airport to fly out of, you'll definately get a head start with air traffic control being based in Class D airspace yet not too busy where you'll end up holding at the end of the runway for hours on end.

I do miss flying down that way, used to fly a resident Beagle Pup.

There are many tips in regards to choosing a school around these parts but above all do not pay any money up front no matter which school it is and how much of a discount they offer. I have personally seen a few schools going down the pan taking students and members money with them.

Take a trail lesson at a few prospective schools to get a feel for them.

Also get that medical passed as soon as you can as you'll legally need this to go solo. Class 1 (Commercial) or Class 2 (Private flying).
