Controlled airspace level depiction

Sat through a lecture by Brum atc last night. Nice to know what goes on around their airspace. Main topic being zone infringements and change in transition altitude.
With regard to airspace level depiction on charts why don't we go over to the US system of showing airspace levels as a fraction. Such as the problem bit south of Birmingham would go from 1500-3500 to 35/15.(with the / being horizontal divider).
Would take up less space on the chart and could be printed in larger type set and perhaps a deeper blue colour.
