I'm not CC but do work for Flybe on the other side of the door, so I'll not attempt to answer what your selection holds for you.
However, as far as your age is concerned, it really shouldn't be an issue. Whilst the majority of crew are probably younger, there has been an increasing trend lately to employ more mature candidates, especially those with experience at other airlines or within a customer-facing industry. Personality, attitude, ability and flexibility are the key.
As for the claim for advancement to senior crew within 12 months, it's possible, but not necessarily normal. It all depends upon the base. Somewhere like BHX is a large crew base, and has a steady turnover of crew, so opportunities do come up failry regularly, but at smaller bases (or in the more far-flung corners of the Flybe empire) turnover is very low and opportunities may only come up every few years.
Either way, the job is what you choose to make it. There are many happy & long-serving employees here, but there are also those who never stop moaning about what a miserable existence they lead and how much better it would be somewhere else. Pretty much like any job really.
