SPW is just suggesting that RAK is a better place than DXB, for many reasons.
Also re property, yes a purchase is a better option than renting, but your working / life in UAE is only as good as yesterdays flight.
I know many crew whose ideal life style was terminated at the drop of the hat.
You have nothing to loos in talking to any agent in RAK or wherever, and yes they are all in it for the money.

Just driven to Terminal 2, and back to RAK, each journey took me 45 + 50 mins, off from RAK at 12am, and 2pm.
