Oh please not one more of those wifes who "were in real estate" (Read: Passed the Florida/Nevada/Arizona Realtor Exam and tried unsuccessfully to partake in the 2007/8 Real Estate Bubble) and followed their husbands to Dubai to be Jumeirah Janes and find that the salary of an EK F/O is not enough to actually be a Jumeirah Jane...
But back to the topic: It's actually quite good to move out of EK Accom and finally live a life among "normal" people; not the Cabin Crew Dormatories where Pilots are just a welcome add-on to add booze to the after party.
I would, however, not recommend it to a Dubai Newcomer. It takes a little bit of experience and insight into to the where and whats before to embark on the task of finding a suitable apartment/Villa.
Oh, and the realtors? They're only after your Best (= your money). There are a few that are genuinely good, but they're certainly not married to an EK Pilot... The few that I was in contact with were always only after the quick deal.
