The a/c and all the bodies have been found and recovered. I suspect that there was no FDR or CVR, but the FMS/GPS/MFD system might have some info in memory.
Speculation from those who had access to the radar track seems to be that the NDB break cloud procedure was never attempted, but that the a/c routed from Keurboomstrand NE to SW past the tip of Robberg where radar contact was lost (approx 5nm S of PY) as the a/c passed 500' AMSL on the descent during a right hand turn from SW to NW.
The airfield is at 600+', so the descent over the sea was to below the airfield elevation and obviously subsequently to sea level. GS when contact was lost was 152kts.
