With respect, that's bananas. The dispute was between Astraeus and bmi because of Astraeus's shocking 757 reliability record. BMI still flies to Freetown using their own aircraft.
Operated by Airbus 321 with a tech stop outbound at Malaga. Freetown to LHR is often completed non stop. Rumours that this route will be serviced by A330 aircraft once it comes back from TK and also a maintenance check.
