I have a feeling this will be the last new route announcement from LDY by RYR for a while, cause realisticly what other route can a 737-800 sustain?
That was the point of my earlier contribution: That Tenerfie is only the 10th busiest international route out of Northern Ireland and so its success would leave huge scope for future announcements. Malaga for example attracts roughly 3 times the passengers of Tenerife from Northern Ireland.
If Tenerfie works then so should Malaga, Paris, Palma, Barcelona, Eindhoven (Amsterdam), and Lanzarote. Look at the figures I gave on page 67 (#1334). Figures for 2010 will be out on March 12th and will bear this out. It is only a matter of time I feel (though not in time for this year) before there are further announcements to these places.
