Thanks for the excellent description of a Trident Autoland. Do you recall which Airports were/are equipped with the buried leader cable, and was it/is it used by any other aircraft types?
P.S. Am I right in thinking that in the early days of Trident CAT III approaches, B.E.A. gave passengers on such flights a commemorative tie (broach for the ladies?) to mark the event?
Or is this just another urban myth?
