GRIFFO, much more recent...late afternoon 12/2/2011. It was a north/south line about 50nm long that passed over Port Hedland from the east and wandered off towards Karratha.

) and saw this unusual cloud formation whilst walking back to the office.
Did a quick point and shoot with the iPhone before the fireworks started.
