You can request a fly-past by the Red Arrows, you might be lucky enough to get one if it's en route to their destination. It doesn't mean they have especially flown past for you, but if they are going in that general direction anyway what harm does it do?
Even if the flight path of the day was changed to encompass the stadium it still provides
valuable flight time for the pilots as previously stated.
Also if you know anything about these American sports events, they have huge screens which I'm sure the footage of the aircraft would have been shown on.
