I have a pair of cheap Cancer Council polarised sunnies. Great in steam gauge aircraft, but absolutely hopeless in the G1000 equipped 172 I occasionally fly, I have a similar problem to Flopt in that I can't read the PFD unless I have my ear almost touching my shoulder.
