Then if these wings were adjustable in angle on the ground, then the pitot head would have to be swivelled.
The wing root area certainly seems to suggest wing movement.
Looking at its' probable age, I can't thing why that would have been done or who would have done it.
There's no way I could think of it as variable geometry.....
