Etihad interview experience

Hi Guys/ Gals,

Here's an update of Etihad's interview process. I went through the interview 2 weeks back.

Previous Day: Arrive into AUH and check into hotel (Park Inn Yas Island).
Room is paid for, but food is your's. Nice rooms and free internet.

Day 1. EY transport comes to pick you up and they take you to EY's HQ. Very nice offices. There were 16 of us and we all gathered in an auditorium. First was English test 30 mins. Pretty simple....Read a paragraph and fill in the blanks with the words provided on the bottom, then a few TOEFL style questions. Nothing complicated. Start doing it on time and 30 mins should be good enough to finish it.
Next was A320 Tech written exam. Straight forward test. 2 versions. Few guys get set 1 and few get set 2. Study FCOM 1 and that should cover everything.
Then if you pass that you move on to Group discussion. Scenario based question and requires a little bit of analytical style thinking. Five mins to come up with your own answer and 15 mins to come up with an answer as a group.
Pass that and you move on to 1 on 1 interview. Very relaxed interview with q's like why you want to join EY, RVSM, ETOPS, CAT II/ III, fail passive and fail operational. The TRE's interviewing me were extremely polite and friendly.

Day 2. Sim....1 visual approach and about 100 feet off the ground Engine failure during go-around. Then a single Engine ILS to a full stop landing. You are evaluated from 2000 ft to 200 ft during the whole sim check. You get 2 chances on the sim ride.

Day 3. Medical at Etihad center. The usual stuff blood, urine, x-ray etc etc.

Overall fantastic experience. Very friendly people. We met a lot of pilots there who were doing their recurrent. They came and spoke to us and were very friendly. Food is provided on day 1.

Regards
