Q400 is a better choice, not the safest to do so right now as spice doesnt have them yet and they would probably be looking at hiring senior first officers for their first few aircrafts, mostly those flying as first officers on lighter acfts such as kingairs or b1900Ds in the corporate world wanting to move out to the biggies. But after that i'm sure they'll want a handful of inexperienced Q400 type rated pilots. A friend of mine got repeated calls from them, explains they're in dire need of senior co-pis.
