Derry ~ Londonderry UK City of Culture will fall flat on its face due to lack of funding.
The Northern Ireland assembly have no interest in the thing because it's not Belfast and have already refused to provide even a modest amount of funding (£5 million). Derry City council (owners of City of Derry airport - nice tie into this thread) cannot afford to fund it.
If Belfast ever gets it, the rate-payers of Northern Ireland will be expected to cought up £50 million. That's how this stinking country is run.
