It is quoted as saying Palmair were paying quarter of a million pounds per month for the 124 seat Boeing 737-500. If that is true, it's no wonder they went under! That is ridiculously expensive and is way abovE normal second hand 737-500 'going lease rates' of GBP100-125k per month. Even if you include wet lease expenses for the crew, maintenance and insurance it would not get to quarter of a million quid.
