My employer provides us with an income protection plan via Canada Life. Basically it gives us 70% of salary index linked each year.
However, it was negotiated via a Broker by the company and applies to at all ATCOs and the Fire Service.
Under those circumstances the Company has significantly more negotiating power than an individual with a broker and maybe you should give that due consideration.
