Using pilots with examining experience and qualifications.
And therein lies an inherent problem. By using pilots to examine candidates for those
intrinsic skills, you run the
risk of naturally biasing the information gathered. I'm not saying that properly trained and qualified pilots can't be unbiased, but if what you are trying to find is more of a personal attribute rather than a flying skill per se, then I could see the possibility of a subject specialist becoming biased in their appraisals.
That said, you sure as hell wouldn't want HR to sit with you in a sim check!
