It cannot be 'policy' because it's age discrimination. In practice, who knows what goes on behind the scenes?
Sorry my bad! Imprecise use of language there - of course I meant practice as opposed to policy.
Just for the record I was well over 30 (and considerably nearer the next 'big' birthday
) when they called me. I was fully expecting to be by far the oldest on the course but if memory serves I was second or third youngest (out of 10 or so...)
Maybe things are different now.
