Let's say, for the sake of argument, that someone with 2500 hours (1500 on something like a King Air) applied to the CTC ATP scheme. Would this be madness? A short route to instant rejection? Or an eminently sensible idea for a (relatively) experienced pilot who wants a job with EasyJet?
