Assuming the prize is okay, would it be worth to travel abroad to attend a course like that?
Anybody has any experience with these type of courses?
I have a 914 (115hp turbo) and have been on the basic maintenance course. It was relatively low cost (about £100) and run by the LAA. It covered all the basix things that an owner would want to be able to do - change plugs, oil, filters, filter checks, test slipper clutch release load, compression testing, etc.

The heavy maintenance course covers (I believe) a more or less complete engine strip & rebuild (except for splitting the crankcase) Unless you have all the necesaary tools and equipement (e.g. heavy press to dismantle the gear box) and are a more than competent mechanic It is, in my opinion, not worth it. The heavy maintenace course is two days in the Uk but you must have attended the "light" maintenance course in the previous 24 months - this is also 2 days.

Personally I would rather leave anything other than simple servicing to the experts with the right tools and access to spare parts.
