Yep, the amount of gas and "compostable" material coming down the tubes at the moment, properly managed, could, at least provide the 2000 ft/ lb of thrust missing.
Talk about a Greek tragedy, rapine, pillage, systemic corruption, lies, subterfuge, deception and perhaps even better, complete share holder backing.
What a lovely way to destroy something that "they" could never build.
I am sure there is someone clever who can define the mindless 'profit center' approach. Perhaps an émigré from a dim and distant inverted philosophy which thrived on dragging down anything their collective, academic arrogance failed to understand.
