From Todays Sun newspaper, so it must be true.
THIS new space age helmet enables RAF pilots to shoot down planes - simply by looking at them.
The £250,000 "death helmet" is like something out of Star Wars and one of the biggest advances in attack capabilities ever.
All a pilot has to do to destroy his enemy is give him a death stare.
Targets appear on the inside of the pilot's visor allowing him to pick one and fire.
On target ... helmet lets pilots shoot enemy at a glance
He can even hit a target which is to the side, above or below - as long as it can be seen.
It works using tiny optical sensors on the helmet. These are picked up by other sensors in the cockpit. Leading pilot Mark Bowman said: "It means the end of the dog fight. Traditionally you have to get behind an aircraft to lock on. With this, I steer the weapons with my head."
Developed by Britain's BAE Systems, it is being used in the RAF's Typhoon.
