GA Flying around Sydney
I am a UK pilot looking to get my licence validated for flying in Australia during my 4 week holiday in April.
Assuming I make it through the difficult administrative process (which I am starting now), where can I fly to if I hire, for example, a 152 out of Bankstown for 2 or 3 days? I am keen to use it as a chance to explore some of the country other than the cities and beaches.
Can I throw a tent in the back and head off to some more remote airfields for hiking/camping? Or am I likely to get eaten/bitten/burnedtoacrisp that way? What is within range of Sydney on a round trip of a few days?
All good ideas welcome, as would be any company from anyone who is looking to do some GA flying in the area around the same time.
